Sourdough Made Simple Workshop
£185.00
Course Date: 2nd December 2024
Discover the art and science of sourdough baking and learn the tricks of the trade from an expert baker. At Canterbury Baking School, sourdough is our passion! Victoria will unlock the mysteries of sourdough and walk you through the process from start to finish. Victoria uses a unique method of making sourdough which gives a softer loaf.
The way you work the bread through all the stages of the process will allow you to achieve a perfect crumb structure, beautiful rise, delicious flavour, crisp crust and soft texture, giving you the confidence to reproduce this at home.
You will make a variety of different breads using two different doughs, containing two different heritage grains from our selection. You will also have the opportunity to mill some of these heritage grains in our specialist milling machine. You will use pre-prepared dough to work with and bake on the day, as well as making your own sourdough from scratch to take home and bake the next morning.
If you’ve tried to learn sourdough from a book or online but not had great success, learning in a class means you can learn how the dough should look and feel at each stage of the process before moving on.
- please review the Terms and Conditions tab when booking.
